Zytglogge Tower is a popular rendez-vous point for Berne's youth and stands right in between the old and new city of Bern. It was built between 1218 and 1220. The famous clock was installed in 1530 by Kaspar Brunner and is one of the oldest tower clocks of Switzerland. The clock displays the time, the day and month as well as a complete astrological calendar with all the moon phases. With a prior reservation you can visit the inside of the Zytglogge Tower and have a closer look into this historical clock and also have a great view overlooking the roofs and streets of the old town. Guided tours take place daily from May to October.
